Baby Yoga
Baby Yoga Overview
8 weeks - approx. 12 months
Come and join me for a relaxing yet fun filled baby yoga session, designed and led by your little ones. This class is fun and playful where you and baby will learn a variety of movements, balances, rocks, swings and gentle stretches to help with their growth and development.
Included in my baby yoga class are simple yoga movements and sensory play (such as scarves, lights, printing and bubbles) all whilst focusing on baby's development such as strength, sitting, rolling and crawling via adult led activities and free play.
Each week there will be a different theme including different aspects of sensory play and yoga movements to practise with your little one as well as the opportunity to relax with your baby and chat with other parents and caregivers.

Within your 5 week course there will be extra touches each session to make your time with me memorable, including crafts, keepsakes, photograph opportunities, as well as little gifts for baby and for you, gifted to you in your very own welcome pack at the start of the course.
My classes are all completely baby led and I encourage as much feeding, cuddling, rocking and moving as you and baby need. There will always be an abundance of snacks and refreshments available to you too because let’s be honest - parenting is thirsty work!
Benefits to Baby
Baby yoga offers a multitude of benefits for infants, including improved digestion, balance, coordination, flexibility, muscle development, spatial awareness and blood flow, to name a few. The specially designed stretches and gentle movements help stimulate the brain and nervous system, support developing postural reflexes, as well as providing a beautiful opportunity for bonding and social interaction between parent and child. With its many advantages, baby yoga is an excellent way to promote the overall health and well-being of your little one.
Benefits to Parent
Baby yoga sessions come with a wide range of advantages for parents seeking to strengthen their bond with their child. Yoga practice promotes relaxation and improved sleep for both parent and baby, while also enhancing digestion, muscle development, and overall well-being. Additionally, baby yoga provides a fun and engaging activity that can be enjoyed by all, making it an excellent choice for parents to connect with their little ones in a meaningful way.

What to Bring
During your baby yoga session mats will be available for you to use and I ask that you please bring some water (or appropriate fluids) for you and your baby to drink during the class (additional refreshments and snacks for adults will be provided for you during the classes). Natural and subtle smells of a familiar object like their own muslin cloth or blanket can be very comforting to your baby, so additionaly and if possible, please bring these along to the class.
What to Wear
When it comes to baby yoga, comfort is key. Dress your little one in soft, stretchy clothing that allows for easy movement. Avoid anything too tight or restrictive, and opt for breathable fabrics that will keep your baby cool and comfortable throughout the class. During the warmer months I often suggest removing all baby's clothing except for nappy and vest to avoid overheating should this be required.
